"There’s No Place Like Home"

I haven’t been blogging as I’ve been traveling a lot this summer.

After hosting The Wild Kingdom event in June, I went to Las Vegas with  some friends to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday.   I was with Cindy McGill and Doug Addison who have a great love for that city and were there filming a “dream documentary” there.

Upon returning, I left for Ireland, Wales and France, where I embarked on a spiritual journey of “digging wells” of Revival and Renaissance.    The concept of digging wells comes from Genesis 26 where Isaac reopened the wells that had been dug in the time of his father, Abraham.

In Ireland, I was able to go to the grave of St. Patrick.   St. Patrick’s story is of special interest to me as my mother was named after him and she died on St. Patrick’s Day.   After she died, it was prophesied  by Steven Brooks that I had St. Patrick’s mantle.  (He did not know me or my story when he prophesied this.  He wrote a book on the subject of recovering mantles.)     My family heritage is Irish and it felt  good to be in that land and to walk where Patrick had walked.   I loved the people, the countryside,  and the music!

In Wales, I participated in “Thunder on the Mountain” with Ray and Denise Hughes.  This was a 24 hour period of worship and intercession with drums.   We also went to Moriah Chapel, where the great Welsh revival began and visited the graves of Evan Roberts and Rees Howells.

In France, I ministered with John Klein at a few venues.  I used to live in France when I was 17, and have always wanted to return to minister there.   (I’ll be ministering there again in October.)   We visited the Louvre museum where I gained a greater understanding about the Renaissance period.

God often gives me “signs in the natural” to confirm what is happening in the spiritual realm.  We ate at an Italian restaurant the last night we were in France.    There was a large well in the restaurant for decoration.   It seemed odd and out of place.  Since the Renaissance started in Florence, Italy, and the purpose of the trip was to dig wells of Revival and Renaissance, I felt it was a “sign” that I had accomplished my goal.

I was home for just a few days before I left to speak in Denver.   I spoke three different nights on “Revival,” “Revolution,” and “Renaissance.”   While there, I had the privilege of having dinner with Loren and Beth Sandford.  Loren shared some things with me that answered some questions that I had been wrestling with this last year.

I was home for a week, then I flew to  Ottertail, Minnesota, to speak at The Gathering hosted by the Firestarters.   This group is incredibly creative and the title of this year’s gathering was “This is Your Renaissance!”

While I was gone, our church grew in number, maturity, and the presence of God.  They had some great teachings while I was gone by my husband, Sandra Sellmer, and Stacia Thompson.

There really is “no place like home!”
